Geothermal Heating & Cooling

You're sitting on an unused energy source that can heat and cool your building year-round, keeping you in constant comfort. A geothermal system takes advantage of the earth's constant ground temperature, providing you with heating, cooling, and hot water for multiple needs.

Go Green and Save on Heating and Cooling Costs!

A single piece of equipment, along with the Earth's own renewable energy, not only keeps you comfortable; it also increases property value and lowers energy costs. A geothermal system can save you anywhere from 30 to 70% on your monthly utility bills. Ground Source has the expertise and experience to install and maintain this smart, money-saving opportunity. Successful installations of vertical closed loop systems include over 600 residential and commercial projects throughout Wisconsin and Michigan.

How Geothermal Works:

As outdoor air temperatures fluctuate with the seasons, ground temperatures below the Earth's surface remain at approximately 50 degrees.

By circulating a water-based solution through a buried loop system, geothermal takes advantage of the constant ground temperatures. In winter, the system extracts the ground's heat, which is transferred to a geothermal unit. The unit delivers the heat to your building through a normal duct system or radiant heat system. In summer, the system absorbs heat from your building's air and deposits it to the ground. The water-based solution, cooled by the ground temperatures, returns to cool your home.
